Earth Day is an annual event celebrated on April 22. Worldwide, various events are held to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First celebrated in 1970, Earth Day now includes events in more than 193 countries, which are now coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network. (Wikipedia)

In Mozambique, the government ministry in charge of the land and environment called MITADER (in Portuguese can read "Ministério da Terra, Ambiente e Desenvolvimento Rural") is conducting some activities that include the distribution of the land assessment documents known as DUAT (in Portuguese means "Direito do uso e aproveitamento de Terra") to locals, as well as some activities in the local primary schools. The activities with the pupils took place at Escola Primaria do Jardim. Click here to see the photos.
